Productive capacity
BPB’s productive capacity is approximately 70 tonnes per day..
BPB can currently produce castings made of four different alloys.
The following alloys are normally processed:

  • UNI 5076 (EN 46100)
  • UNI 5075 (EN 46000)
  • UNI 5079 (EN 47100)
  • UNI 3051 (EN 44400)

Production process
The company has recently acquired a set of machines that are completely equipped with robot manipulators for unloading the castings, so that the productive cycle is automatic. Each casting machine has a standby furnace for holding the molten alloy. The molten alloy is obtained from ingots that are procured from certified refineries. B.P.B. S.n.c. automatically melts the raw material in its own melting department.

In the Quality Control laboratory the different workpieces undergo radioscopic checks and their dimensions are tested by state-of-the-art equipment to ensure optimum product quality. Qualified personnel submit each die-cast workpiece to chipping to eliminate burrs.
After the workpieces have been cleaned they are further checked for any deviation.
